"No one has ever challenged us as to who our parents are, even though some people may have unique family circumstances. We only need to introduce and claim our parents once, be they adoptive or biological.

Consequently, who is disputing about the Parents in your life?" Consequently, who is disputing about the Parents in your life?"

—The Monkey

Whether atheists, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, or others, we were born into this world with no choice of our own. I don't recall agreeing to come into this world as a helpless baby, a trying teenager, or a fail prone adult. No one asked me if I wanted to be a boy or a girl. I wasn't given the chance to be a bird of prey like an eagle, or a king of beasts like a lion.

You were not consulted about the life you undertake, or the challenges you face. We can't negotiate our strengths, weaknesses, assignment, or timing on earth. While many of us are in one way or another luckier than the rest, it's no consolation if we're better off in areas that, to us, don't matter. I am gifted at this but, frankly, I would rather be good at what you do. Maybe you have too much of one thing, but lack something else.

We don't want everything. What we do want is what fits our life and challenges.

Would we be ungrateful?

Ungratefulness is merely a symptom of equity gone wrong. Conversely, gratefulness is a rationale we resort to when faced with a no-alternative situation. It's not too surprising that we need to rehearse for so long before acquiring the awkward "ability." Gratefulness just isn't natural.

Giving me things that don't work or that I cannot get to work is inequitable and ineffective, to say the least. It's not an issue of social etiquette or spiritual mannerism, but of functional suitability. If we are judged on our patriotism then provide us the combative means. If we are scored on our ability to thwart evil, then allow us to train for such a challenge. If we are measured as to how much fear we can disguise, then all we need is practice.

Are you perfectly endowed? If not, have you been entirely honest?
